A 67 year old Eagle Mountain man has been found guilty on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child by a jury following a trial in 4th District Court in Provo.
David R. Bills, age 67, of Eagle Mountain, was found guilty by a 4th District Court jury in Provo late Monday night, July 10, 2017, on 10 counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child. Bills was arrested on July 7, 2016, after 8 and 10 year old family members disclosed to investigators with the Utah County Sheriff's Office and the Utah Division of Child and Family Services that they had been sexually abused by Bills numerous times over a five year period. After interviewing the victims investigators spoke to Bills but he was unwilling to answer questions. He was arrested at that time and booked into the Utah County Jail on 30 counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child, all first degree felonies. On July 10, 2016 another family came forward with concerns that their 8 year old daughter might also have been victimized by Bills. After that child was interviewed Bills was charged with two additional counts of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child. He has been held in the Utah County Jail on $200,000.00 cash only bail pending the trial, which concluded late Monday night with the guilty verdict on ten counts. Two of those guilty findings were for the third victim who came forward after Bills was initially arrested. Bills is still being held in jail pending sentencing.
