A 30 year old Eagle Mountain woman was found dead inside a pick up truck outside her home early this morning. Her cause of death is unknown, but alcohol and prescription medication may be factors. Circumstances are not suspicious.
*** PRESS RELEASE *** August 23, 2018: Shortly after 3:00 AM this morning Deputies with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office and Unified Fire Authority paramedics responded to a report of a woman near the city center in Eagle Mountain who was found unconscious and not breathing in a pick up truck outside her home. The woman’s fiancé told dispatchers she had gone outside several hours earlier and he had gone to bed. The woman was found on the floor of the pick up truck on the passenger side. Investigators learned that the woman had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol, and may also have taken medications which were prescribed to her. The woman in this case is Shaelean Eliot Child’s, age 30, of Eagle Mountain. Her body has been taken to the medical examiners office in Taylorsville. Circumstances, at this point, are not suspicious.
